Landis is a lab mix (mixed with what we don't know) we adopted as a 3 month old puppy, and he has been awesome ever since. This page hosts a collection of videos of Landis catching frisbees, tearing it up at the dog beach, swimming in his favorite pool, and just being an all around fun-loving, amazing dog.

About Landis

Landis was adopted into the McDonald family in June, 2016. We know that he was born in south Georgia, was collected or birthed at a shelter that did not have room for him, and luckily he could then be picked up by Nate's Honor Animal Rescue, a Manatee county overflow shelter that saves animals from euthanasia.

Landis was adopted at about 3 months old and weighed 18 lbs. He now lives like a king with full reign of the couches and beds to lay on, but remains a very active and fit dog (like his parents) now at a lean and strong 70 pounds. He walks 3-5 miles per day on leash and gets lots of backyard playtime as well. He loves walking by (and in) Florida rivers and exploring new nature trails or hikes.
